Writer

Writing is so much more than just putting words on paper. There’s an artistry to language and communication that is best appreciated in the physical form, when grammar is more than just “rules” – it’s a means to shape the thoughts into a sort of music and rhythm. When I’m not trying to make complex research more accessible to a wider audience, I’m conjuring my own creative fiction. There’s something weirdly wonderful about bringing ideas into the world through writing, and shaping them into entire new worlds.

Integrity is Paramount

Integrity forms the bedrock of trust between the writer and the reader. It ensures that the information presented is accurate, truthful, and reliable, allowing readers to make informed decisions and form educated views. In this internet age especially with so much at our fingertips, presenting anything as fact demands accountability. Every word I place on the page or screen is scrutinized for truth, and is well-researched and from reliable sources.

Compassion

There’s enough judgement in the world, and I feel that in the realm of education, there’s no room for it. By approaching topics with compassion, complex issues can better resonate with readers’ emotions and experiences, fostering understanding and empathy. Writing compassionately of the subject can inspire action and positive change while creating meaningful, impactful narratives that have the power to enlighten, educate, and empower.

Creative Writing

Fantasy and Speculative Fiction

In the realms where imagination runs wild, I revel in tales that are firmly grounded with clear character motivations and richly-crafted worlds. The reader relies on characters through which to see and experience the world, and so those characters need to feel real. Good characters are foundations in my works.
