Having grown up in a tiny, rural town in Manitoba, there wasn’t much to do besides create my own adventures, getting lost on my bike for hours, and writing stories and doodling in all the moments in between. I was that kid in school that doodled pictures of horses in the margins or on the back of every assignment and test. My childhood fascination evolved into a deep-seated passion for all things equine, and I’ve spent over 20 years in the horse industry as groom, showgroom, rider, trainer, barn manager, and massage and PEMF therapist. 

My drive to learn as much as I can has led me down many paths within the industry, including additional training or courses in biomechanics, behaviour, nutrition, and various types and modalities of bodywork. As much as I love helping horses feel their best, I especially love being able to communicate and share knowledge with other like-minded enthusiasts. inciting the same passion that inspires me to bring my best to my own horses every day.

While my deep love for everything horses dominated most of my life, I’ve always kept a hand in theatre arts and creative writing, feeding my passion and curiosity for story-telling, props and puppets and things that spark imagination. 

After years of cultivating my eclectic array of interests, none of which I’d be happy or whole without, I wound up as a scenic artist,  prop-builder, and writer with the training that allows me to help animals feel better, and bounced across continents with the same wonder and zest for life as I had as a kid with that old bike.
